A day that sets an area in motion
A Resilience Day is the day an area works on resilience together, from water to wifi. Residents, entrepreneurs, care providers, grid operators, government bodies and knowledge institutions sit at the same table around one central question: how do we organise collective self-reliance before disruption strikes?
The first National Resilience Congress
On Friday 12 June 2026 around 40 executives and 150 representatives came together at Theater Utrecht for the first National Resilience Congress. The day opened with an executive roundtable, followed by a plenary programme and break-out sessions in which participants produced concrete action cards per domain. The Utrecht district Universiteitskwartier served as a testing ground, producing building blocks that other municipalities can use too.
How the day is structured
The break-outs follow the clusters and domains of our domain model. Per domain, participants answer the same three questions: which availabilities are critical, which top disruptions are conceivable and which measures come first? The result is not a report but an action agenda, with an owner for every action.
What happens next
A Resilience Day does not stand alone. The action agenda it produces becomes the rolling agenda of the area, picked up by the Noodhub, the steering group and the domain leads. That makes the day the kick-start of an area-based approach to resilience rather than a one-off gathering.
Next editions
We want to organise more Resilience Days. There are two ways in: organise a day in your own area, or join an edition already scheduled. Interested? Send us a message and we will get in touch about the possibilities.
