What is collective self-reliance
No one becomes resilient alone. A power bank in your cupboard helps you for a few hours. But what if the power goes out for a day? If the neighbourhood needs water? If your suppliers cannot deliver or your internet goes down?
That is when your neighbours, fellow entrepreneurs, suppliers, municipality and insurer matter. Collective self-reliance is the idea that we should be prepared together, not each of us on our own.
Resilt brings households, entrepreneurs and institutions together in a growing movement. Membership is free.
What we work on together
Resilt works according to the ISAFE model: five steps that together make the difference between standing alone and standing strong together.
I – Identify
Together we map critical dependencies for every street, neighbourhood and sector.
S – Signal
Share threats, vulnerabilities and local outage data via the Resilt portal.
A – Alert
Mutual aid agreements in the neighbourhood and on business parks, signed and practised.
F – Fortify
Eliminate threats where possible and jointly set up backups, supplies and emergency power.
E – Evaluate
Practise, learn and improve through e-learning, workshops and regional events.

Collective purchasing
Resilt negotiates framework contracts on behalf of members with suppliers of emergency power, water, communication and critical supplies. Margins and prices are published transparently in a member report. The more members, the better the rates.
Joint outreach
One entrepreneur alone will not get a telecom company to the table. Ten entrepreneurs might. A hundred certainly will. Resilt bundles demand and voice towards suppliers, institutions and governments.
Support from authorities
We actively seek support from municipalities and neighbourhood councils (local), safety regions and provinces (regional), and central government, industry associations, insurers and knowledge institutions (national).
Portal, e-learning and events
Access to the outage data portal, e-learning and discounts on workshops. Four regional events per year for members. No small print, no subscription fees: the basic tier is and will remain free.
What we do not promise
A guarantee of preparedness. Collective purchasing needs volume. Outreach takes time. We are not a replacement for your insurance: Resilt and your insurance complement each other.
What do you do as a member?
Nothing is mandatory. You receive a periodic update on what is happening in your postcode cluster. You can take part in exercises, e-learning or a regional event. You are the first to hear about a collective purchasing initiative. And you can put your situation forward for a dependency analysis.
We are not asking you to buy anything right away. We ask you to think along, sometimes take part, and sometimes contribute.
Who it is for
Households – who want a safe foundation for their family, want to support their parents, or live in a neighbourhood where resilience is an issue.
Freelancers and small independent businesses – who do not have thousands of euros for one-off purchases, but do want to know what to do in the event of a power outage, water shortage or service disruption.
SMEs and larger companies – that take their continuity seriously, want to align with CSRD and NIS2 reporting, and want to team up with neighbouring entrepreneurs.
Institutions and organisations – schools, associations, religious communities and care institutions that, alongside their primary role, also play a part in local resilience.
Governments – municipalities, provinces and safety regions that want to strengthen the hub network without running their own procurement process.
Everyone starts with the same basic tier. Custom arrangements are possible on request.
A growing network
Resilt is building a network of hubs. We are not doing this alone: our foundation is collaboration with hardware suppliers (warehousing and logistics) and with existing local places in neighbourhoods, shopping streets and on business parks.
The first Resilt Noodhub is in Utrecht, on the Steenweg. We are currently in discussions with the Huis van Actief Burgerschap about opening new hubs in more places across the Netherlands.
Frequently asked questions
Is it really free?
Yes. The basic tier remains free. We are working on optional extended services for the future, but basic membership will remain free of charge.
What about that power bank, water filter and emergency response (BHV) training?
You do not have to buy them. Some actions we build up collectively through member purchasing. Others you do yourself, at your own pace. We help you choose what fits.
Does everyone get everything?
Everyone gets access to membership, the e-learning and the regional events. Collective purchasing depends on volume per region. The more members, the faster things get going.
What if I want to leave?
One click. No notice period, no costs, no email campaigns afterwards.
Does this work in my region?
We are starting in Utrecht, home of our first Noodhub (Steenweg). Together with partners such as the Huis van Actief Burgerschap, we are working on new hubs in more places. Once there are enough members in your postcode area, we activate a local cluster there with regional events.
Does Resilt receive subsidies, or is this a commercial company?
Resilt is a company with a social mission. Where appropriate we ask governments and public bodies for support, but basic membership is and will remain free for members.
